Meet Shawn Housman, Zen Paws Training
Shawn Housman, a certified dog trainer and active member of the international Association of Canine Professionals, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the practice. Mentored by renowned figures such as Cesar Millan, Heather Beck, Cheri Lucas Nelson Hodges, Art Ortiz. Shawn’s journey began in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where her passion for animals blossomed at a young age.
After navigating through the challenges posed by her own spirited pups, she sought out a training program in Lancaster, PA. Since then, she has dedicated herself to supporting others in finding as much joy in their canine companionship as she does.
Shawn currently volunteers at a local shelter while being involved with ongoing mentorship programs to discover & continuing to educate herself. Driven to enable others to experience the fulfillment of a harmonious bond with their dogs.
Her approach to training is influenced by recognizing the importance of a dog’s natural instincts, seen through her off-leash adventures on the beach and structured walks in the neighborhood. In her free time, Shawn treasures quality moments with her family and embraces outdoor activities, while continuously seeking to expand her knowledge.

Behavioral Training
We provide personalized, one-on-one sessions in the comfort of your own home. Our aim is to ensure that your dog receives individualized attention, addressing their specific needs where behavioral issues are most prevalent, right within your home.
In-House Training
We conduct our sessions in the comfort of your own home, where the majority of the behaviors take place. Each appointment spans one to two hours, blending theoretical learning with practical application.
Puppy Classes
Our puppyhood training is structured around the developmental stages. We craft a personalized plan tailored to your puppy's energy levels, as well as your lifestyle and training objectives. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge of dog psychology to raise a well-behaved puppy that will bring joy for years to come.
Pack Stroll
The pack stroll is designed to simulate real-life scenarios you encounter while walking your dog, creating a safe environment for socialization.These activities provide an excellent opportunity for you and your dog to strengthen your bond through leash skills.
